Our expert on 11th Sept will be dr Pilar Alamá, MD, PhD, Director of the Ovodonation Programme and a specialist in reproductive medicine. Dr Pilar is a gynaecologist with many years of experience and she has been working at IVI Clinic Valencia, Spain since 2006.
Dr Pilar Alamá has solid educational background in treating infertility: she graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia, Spain in 2001. She did her specialisation studies in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Dr Peset Hospital also in Valencia. Dr Pilar has received a PhD in Medicine and Surgery with the highest qualification from the University of Valencia. Her thesis was on cryopreservation of ovarian cortex.
Our expert has received various awards and merits: Diploma in Research Methodology and Design and Statistics in Health Sciences. Dr Alamá is also a member of the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology (ESHRE). Dr Pilar i salso very active in research: she collaborated in a several Human Reproduction research projects and has written ten international and four national medical publications. She is also an advisor/director of four dissertations in the area of Assisted Reproduction.
