#Stronger Together – IVF patient support project completed with success!

COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed our lives. The disruption caused by international lockdown has affected not only the global economy and health systems but it has also revealed how fragile our everyday life is. As individuals, we had to make changes to almost all our plans and schedules – including fertility treatment.

As a direct result of COVID-19, IVF clinics around the globe reduced their level of operation or temporarily closed. IVF cycles were put on hold – both the new ones and those already in progress. It is enough to say that for many patients struggling with infertility, this was a devastating blow during an already emotional time.

#StrongerTogether | Free IVF support for patients

But our team at MyIVFAnswers.com did not give up hope! In fact, we took an action and did all in power to support all IVF patients in need. In order to face the challenges, we launched the Stronger Together initiative – a series of inspiring online events to help our patients survive the isolation and the temporary lack of treatment possibilities. It turned out that such help and inspiration was exactly what fertility patients around the world needed in these difficult and stressful times. Now, after 3 months of intense but fascinating work, we are proud to announce the completion of the Stronger Together project. And the results are more than impressive!

From April 1, 2020, till June 30, 2020, we conducted 123 events (62 #IVFWEBINARS and 61 #ONLINEPATIENTMEETINGS). We invited 91 fertility experts from 15 countries to support patients during COVID-19 uncertainty. During online events, they shared their knowledge and expertise on most complex fertility issues and IVF concerns as well as helped to tackle fake news related to COVID-19’s potential effect on conception and pregnancy. As we have always believed that education and information are crucial in assuring oneself safe and satisfying IVF treatment, we simply knew that contacting people who can relate to what the patients were going through was crucial and should have not be suspended under any circumstances – not even during the global pandemic. And we saw that patients shared our view completely!

Watch all the online events

During the Stronger Together initiative, the total number of registrants to our #IVFWEBINARS and #ONLINEPATIENTMEETINGS was 8,899. This perfectly shows how many people were looking for guidance and support during this challenging period in their lives. The actual number of live attendees was 4,313 but it of course does not include all of those who watched the recorded events later on – and are still watching them now! This impressive result would surely not be possible if it wasn’t for our great Ambassadors who spread the news on the Stronger Together initiative and upcoming events. Among those, there were acclaimed fertility coaches, writers and IVF consultants as well as founders and directors of well-known fertility support organisations and leading companies within the IVF sector.

Find your IVF answers

Live Q&As during the Stronger Together events enabled the viewers to ask the most burning questions to our experts. The latter always provided them with necessary information, advice and understanding. Their answers (as well as all recorded online events) can be found at MyIVFAnswers.com. We strongly recommend visiting the website whenever you need emotional support or valuable knowledge regarding your present or future IVF treatment. We believe that such an enriching and useful online tool can serve patients not only during the pandemic but also in (hopefully!) more normal and calmer times to come!

  1. That’s awesome to have someone’s support by side. Whether it’s a close friend, a dh or a family member – it does help to keep sane in the long run! We went through all IVF/surrogacy treatment steps. Approximately six of them. Firstly, they stimulated the growth and development of multiple egg follicles within my ovaries. They used loads of fertility drugs. They monitored the growth of the egg follicles through regular ultrasounds and blood tests. Then they removed surgically matured eggs from the follicles on the ovaries. They fertilized the eggs in a lab setting through ICSI. BTC team allowed the embryos to grow and develop in the lab. On the exact date our doc transferred a predetermined number of quality embryos into the surrogate’s uterus. They wanted her to get enough progesterone to help prepare her uterine lining for implantation of the embryo. They scheduled a pregnancy test which showed bfp!! beta was rising super high! Then they told us we were more likely to expect twins..And then those scans where tiny beans don’t want to show their gender! That was amazing!
