We are a private fertility clinic in Alicante, Spain, and since 2013 we have been helping patients take the next step toward building the family they dream of.
We carry out around 500 treatment cycles each year, including IVF with your own eggs and egg donation. This gives our patients the reassurance of proven experience, while allowing us to keep our care personal, attentive, and tailored to each individual.
Our clinic is led by Dr. Fernando Rodríguez Belmonte, a specialist in reproductive medicine with 28 years of experience. Together with our experienced team, we provide expert fertility care in an environment where every patient feels seen, supported, and understood.
We offer the advantage of having every stage of treatment in one place. Consultations, laboratory work, and clinical procedures are all carried out within the same clinic. With our own IVF laboratory, andrology lab, embryo bank, and operating theatre, we can coordinate your treatment carefully, efficiently, and with close attention to detail.
What makes our clinic especially reassuring is our personal approach. We are a small and cosy clinic, which means we can give each patient the time, care, and individual attention they deserve. Here, you are never treated like a number – we know our patients by name, and we take the time to truly know their story.
We have also created a calm and welcoming setting to help you feel more at ease. A small interior patio garden can be seen from every room in the clinic, bringing a sense of peace into the space. It is one of the details that helps make the experience feel more human, more personal, and more comforting.
“I have chosen to keep the clinic small on purpose. For many patients, this creates a more comfortable and personal setting. It also allows us to follow each case more closely, stay involved throughout the process, and maintain the personal touch that I believe is essential during what is often an emotionally demanding stage of life. Our goal is not only to offer treatment, but to make you feel supported, understood, and confident that you have chosen a clinic that puts your needs first.”
Dr. Fernando Rodriguez Belmonte
By the way, We welcome many patients from abroad, and around 30% of the people we support travel to us from other countries. To make your journey easier and more comfortable, we offer communication in several languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian and Polish.
Why Patients Choose us with Confidence
We get to know you before you travel and we look at your case with care from day one. Before you come to Alicante, we speak with you personally and arrange contact with our medical team. This means we already understand your situation before you arrive, so you can feel confident from the very beginning. We review your medical history and previous treatments early, so we can give you clear, personalised feedback. We do not offer a one-size-fits-all approach — we focus on what is right for you.
We provide you with a clear, personalised treatment plan. From the start, we create a treatment plan based on your needs and goals. You will know what to expect, what the next steps are, and how to prepare, giving you clarity and peace of mind. We will also prepare a backup plan, just in case.
We guide you every step of the way. You will have the support of an experienced patient manager who stays by your side throughout your journey. We help you organise everything, answer your questions, and make the process smooth and manageable.
We help you choose the best option for your future family. Whether you are considering IVF, egg donation, ROPA, or another treatment, we explain your options clearly and help you choose the path that gives you the best chance and the most confidence.
We make your journey feel easier, safer, and more reassuring and we are here to give you expert care and real peace of mind. With clear communication, structured support, and a team that truly cares, we help remove uncertainty and give you the confidence that you are in the right place.
Is Ferrobelab the Right Clinic for You?
Ferrobelab may be the right clinic if:
You are reviewing multiple IVF clinics abroad and finding it difficult to compare what is actually included in each proposal.
You have experienced situations where communication slows down after the first interaction or becomes less clear once you move forward.
You are considering egg donation or continuing treatment after previous unsuccessful cycles and want to understand what would change in a new attempt.
You are over 40 and need to evaluate your options based on realistic expectations rather than general success figures.
You prefer to understand the full treatment process in advance, including timing, steps and possible adjustments, rather than deciding step by step without a clear overview.
We know that your embryos are incredibly special and important, and that they deserve the highest level of care. That is why our embryology laboratory is led by two highly experienced senior embryologists – Estefanía Cocca, with 30 years of experience, and Angélica Sastre, with 26 years of experience – so you can feel confident that every embryo is cared for with exceptional attention, expertise, and respect at every stage.
Treatment Availibility
IVF with your own eggs We do not believe age alone should decide your chances. If other clinics have told you “NO,” we are happy to review your case carefully and explain what may still be possible for you.
Egg donation We offer egg donation treatment up to 53 years, helping more women move forward with expert support and renewed hope.
BMI considerations We do not follow strict BMI limits. Instead, we look at your overall health and individual circumstances, because every patient deserves a personal evaluation.
Single women We are here to support super-mums on their path to motherhood. We provide access to a wide choice of sperm donors and egg donation treatment when needed.
Same-sex female couples (ROPA) We are proud to welcome same-sex female couples and provide ROPA treatment in a supportive, inclusive, and respectful setting where every family journey matters.
Medical Team at Ferrobelab
Dr. Fernando Rodriguez Belmonte
Fertility treatment is not only defined by protocols, but also by how decisions are made when the process does not follow a straight path.
Our clinical direction is led by Dr. Fernando Rodríguez Belmonte, a specialist in reproductive medicine with 28 years of experience in fertility care.
At Ferrobelab, the same doctor remains involved throughout treatment, rather than patients being transferred between multiple physicians.
This continuity means decisions can be made with full knowledge of the case, including previous responses, adjustments and outcomes. In practice, this reduces the need to reinterpret information at each step and helps avoid fragmented decision-making.
Dr. Fernando Rodríguez Belmonte has developed his career across several areas of women’s health, combining clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology with a strong focus on fertility and assisted reproduction. His training in Medicine and Surgery was followed by specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Alicante, which laid the foundation for a broad and integrated approach to patient care.
Over the years, his work has included fertility treatments, prenatal diagnosis, gynecological ultrasound, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and breast pathology. This experience allows him to work across the full reproductive pathway, from diagnosis and evaluation to treatment planning and follow-up.
In addition to clinical practice, he is the founder and Medical Director of Ferrobelab, where he oversees medical protocols, patient care standards and the integration of laboratory and clinical processes within the clinic.
IVF Guarantee Program
For patients who prefer a structured approach across multiple attempts, Ferrobelab offers guarantee programs.
The egg donation program is priced at €27,000 and includes up to six embryo transfers. The IVF program with own eggs is €18,000 and includes up to three cycles.
The outcome used for the guarantee is pregnancy at 12 weeks. If this outcome is not achieved, a refund of up to 80% is applied.
These programs are designed to reduce uncertainty across multiple attempts, rather than focusing on a single cycle.

How Patients Describe Their Experience With Us
At Ferrobelab, we believe fertility treatment should feel personal, close, and supportive from the very beginning. Many of our patients tell us that what made the biggest difference was not only the medical care they received, but also the way they were accompanied throughout the process by a team that stayed present, attentive, and involved at every stage. These are some of the experiences of patients in our clinic:
“When you embark on a journey like this, you meet many people along the way. But from the moment you step into Ferrobelab, you’re met by attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional people. From minute one, you feel their support, no matter what, from Marisa the receptionist (she’s a sweetheart and has immense empathy) to Fernando, the gynecologist specializing in assisted reproduction (with vast experience in the field and excellent patient care). The nurses, anesthesiologists, biologists, cleaning staff… the entire Ferrobelab family exudes warmth and kindness. There’s no better place to begin this journey. The feeling of gratitude is indescribable.”
– Raquel Valderrey
“We are so happy with the clinic and the entire team, especially Fernando and Marisa. From day one, they have been attentive, friendly, and above all, incredibly compassionate. They care about your well-being at every moment, and in such a delicate process as this, that is truly appreciated.
At first, we were afraid to take this step because of everything it entails, both emotionally and financially, but thanks to them, everything has been much easier.
We are so grateful for their support and the confidence they instill in us at every visit.
Thank you so much to the whole team!”
-Cristina Nogal
“Thank you to Fernando Rodríguez Belmonte and his tremendous team for our twins! They never let go of our hand until we achieved our dream of being parents. More than a team of great professionals, they became like family! Thank you forever!”
-Paúl Alfredo González Dalmasí

Clinic has not provided the Statement of Truth
We really care about the quality of the information presented on our website.
To make sure that all data provided by clinics is correct - we ask clinics to confirm all data by
"Statement of Truth".
This clinic hasn’t signed the "Statement of Truth” so we can’t confirm the data
provided by the clinic.
Fresh vs Frozen donor eggs
Fresh donor eggs
Fresh donor oocytes were used for fertilization with donor or partner's sperm.
Frozen donor eggs Donor oocytes from egg bank were thawed before fertilization with donor or partner's sperm.
Note: As statistics shown in various sources (ESHRE, SART) on average the value of success rate when using frozen eggs may be 10% lower than with fresh eggs.
Embryo transfer day and number of embryos
Embryo transfer day Many clinics prefer to transfer embryos on day 5 at the blastocyst stage as it may lead to better outcomes of an IVF program.
Number of embryos to transfer International and national medical organizations including ASRM, SART and ESHRE discourage the transfer of a large number of embryos because of the increased likelihood of multiple-fetus pregnancies. Multiple-fetus pregnancies, in turn, increase the probability of premature births and related health problems.
Worth to know:
We encourage IVF Clinics to present success rates per cycle rather than per patient. We also ask clinics not to include any frozen embryo transfers in success rates calculation.
Please bear in mind that including frozen embryo transfers (FET) in statistics may increase the overall value of success rates - however at the same time it will increase the cost of the IVF treatment. IVF Clinics usually do not include frozen embryo transfer costs in their programs. That means that if you have any embryos left - the treatment will cost you more than advertised by the clinic.
IVF Success Rates
The way IVF success rates are calculated may vary from clinic to clinic. Calculating and presenting success rates by clinics is a common "communication" issue as clinics try to advertise the best values on their websites.
IVF success rates are usually calculated as a percentage of clinical pregnancies dividing the number of favorable results such as number clinical pregnancies by the number of procedures performed such as a number of embryo transfers, according to the following formula:
"number of pregnancies or number of live births / number of embryo transfers"
You should be aware that the success of IVF treatment is the sum of different factors and circumstances, only few of which depend on the clinic itself. The latter are surely the experience and professionalism of the medical staff as well as offered IVF treatments that allow particular types of patients (with either lower or higher chances of a successful pregnancy).
However, in majority of cases it is your individual situation, condition and medical history that influence the result of the treatment. Your age, genetic factors or various reasons for infertility play a crucial role in determining the IVF success.
Contact in person the clinics you’re interested in and discuss your own perspectives on IVF success instead of studying success rates advertised on clinic's websites.
If you'd like to now more about egg donation success rates please refer to this article:
Here you'll find basic information about the program and the sum of additional costs that are required to carry out the treatment.
The "Additional costs" mean that there are additional costs to cover on top of the advertised program price. You may find these costs in the "Included in program and additional costs" tab below.
Popup - Basic guarantees:
Guarantees refer to number of donor eggs (oocytes) included in the program, number of embryos which are guaranteed on day 3 or day 5 at the blastocyst stage.
Important:
When the clinic offers an embryo guarantee, the basic requirement is good quality partner’s sperm. Usually IVF clinics use WHO standards to assess the sperm parameters. If this is the case, make sure you ask the clinic which particular standards are being applied and what parameters are taken into account. Some fertility clinics apply their own standards. Make sure you ask what happens, if despite good sperm parameters, you will not receive the guaranteed number of embryos.
What does it mean?
Here you will find all the options that are included in the program and those that are necessary to carry out the IVF program but at an additional cost.
All procedures/services which are not included have additional costs that you will have to cover apart from the costs of the Program.
What does it mean?
Other procedures and services that are possible to perform at the Clinic at additional cost.
Remember the decision to use medical services should be made after consulting your doctor.
Refund based on outcome
IVF Refund Program is a term used for financial IVF programs. They give the patient access to two or three IVF cycles for one payment. Usually fresh embryo transfers and extra frozen embryo transfers are included in the price.
A multi-cycle IVF refund program means that the treatment continues until the desired result. It may refer to either clinical pregnancy or a live birth – or until all of the program’s cycles are completed. If the IVF program ends successfully, the clinic will not return your money. However, if you don’t achieve your goal, you can count on a partial or full refund of the costs.
