Barbados is a beautiful gem of an island located in the Caribbean, which provides a very relaxing backdrop for the JCI-accredited Barbados Fertility Centre. This IVF clinic is serviced by daily direct flights from London & Manchester in the UK and seasonal flights from Glasgow in Scotland. Patients from the USA can fly directly from Miami and New York. Patients are collected from the airport by the clinic staff and taken to their accommodations. Most patients stay within walking distance of the clinic, and they can hire a car to explore the island or they can use the local buses, which run right outside the clinic door. Barbados Fertility Centre has a patient liaison who can arrange flights, transport and accommodation during your stay in Barbados. Since Barbados is a commonwealth country no visas are required for travellers from other commonwealth countries.

Patients can enjoy island tours, catamaran cruises, swimming with giant leatherback turtles or just simply sitting under a swaying palm tree and relaxing. Barbados Fertility Centre also has an onsite spa where couples can enjoy massage, reflexology, acupuncture and sessions with a counsellor to cope with the emotion associated with IVF. Barbados Fertility Centre has an internationally trained medical team who attends to international patients. The clinic is visited by couples and singles coming from 50 different countries all around the world. The staff’s focus is on the optimum possible success rates and excellent patient care. Both the patient care team and the doctors at Barbados Fertility Centre speak English as this is their first language. Also, other staff is available who can translate for other nationalities.
The clinic holds JCI accreditation, which is the gold standard for clinic approval in the USA, and ASRM Centre of Nursing Excellence accreditation. Barbados Fertility Centre has also received the IVF AWARD 2020 in the category of Best IVF Clinic Website from WhereIVF.com.
Barbados Fertility Centre has their own Immunology Program. They specialize in reproductive immunology, implantation failure and recurrent early pregnancy loss. They have seen hundreds of cases of repeated miscarriage or IVF failure that were successfully treated with the use of immunosuppressive regimes. All patients of the clinic are screened for the most common immunology problems such as antibodies, before starting the treatment, they undergo a comprehensive investigation panel including NK cells and immunophenotype assay. The results of the immunological panel are then carefully analysed by the clinic’s doctors and interpreted to select the optimal medication and the correct dose that will best address the patient’s issues. While not every miscarriage or IVF failure is due to immunology issues, there are many cases where careful evaluation is crucial to achieving a healthy pregnancy.

“Our experience at Barbados Fertility Centre was wonderful. The most impressive thing to us was the level of care we received from everyone. We had procedures done by all three doctors and worked with many of the nurses, and though we were not successful every time, each procedure went smoothly and we were eventually successful. The doctors, nurses, and staff in both the clinic and the wellness centre were always friendly, compassionate, helpful, and genuinely supportive. We’re so grateful for everything the team did for us and absolutely plan to return for our next round of IVF.”

“In 2025 My fiancé and I went to Barbados for reciprocal IVF (we are both female). From the very beginning the clinic was amazing to us and made sure we understood everything and did everything correctly. Thanks to them we were able to get pregnant through the first transfer. They retrieved 19 healthy eggs from my fiancé and fertilized all of them. 8 of them remained healthy and grew in their lab normally and 1 was implanted into me.
